About Ian Keith

Starting out I played keyboards for the Rock Band Valhalla where I began writing music and lyrics for the first time, this grew into a passion and I began working with a publisher writing songs and eventually music for film and video. Recording demos of my songs I realized that I’d like to release an album as a solo artist. The album Exposed is the realization of that dream.

It would come as no surprise, as I played in a Rock Band for many years, for me to note Rock Bands past and present as influences, from Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin through Kansas and Toto to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. But also I grew up listening to the likes of Oscar Peterson, Miles Davis, Chick Corea and a whole host of other Jazz artists all of whom left their mark. In fact as is the case with all of us, I appreciate a wide range of music from many different genres but have always particularly enjoyed singer songwriters from Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel and Mark Cohn to Ray Lamontagne, James Morrison and John Meyer.
